This week Katy shares a very personal story, that sadly, many others can relate to. Listeners may remember Katy talking about some irregular periods that, at first, were thought to be pandemic stress and hormone related issues. What she didn't share was that for over a year she's silently been dealing with more than just some inconveniently heavy periods. The real culprit was a fibroid, a large fibroid that wreaked havoc on her physically and mentally. A warning for those who are squeamish about hospital visits, surgery, and major blood loss - but we encourage you to listen and share your own stories! Please see the links below to the clinic mentioned in the podcast, as well as the organization Katy spoke about that is advocating to empower those dealing with fibroids.
